Free RAMS builder
Build a risk assessment and method statement in your browser, free and with no sign-up. Pull typical hazards and controls from the library, edit everything to your task, score the risk before and after controls, and print or save it as a PDF with a briefing register attached. Nothing is uploaded: the document stays on your device.
Use it properly. This produces a structured draft, not a finished safety document. A competent person must review it against the real task, site and conditions, approve it and brief the team before work starts. If a residual risk still scores high, change the method, do not just add PPE.
1. Project details
2. Method statement
3. Hazards and controls
Add activities from the library to pre-fill typical hazards and controls, then edit everything to match your task and site. Scores use likelihood x severity (1 to 5 each).
No hazards yet. Add an activity above to start.
4. PPE for this task
Frequently asked questions
- Is this RAMS builder really free?
- Yes. No account, no email address, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you produce. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded to us, and the finished document prints or saves as a PDF from your own device.
- What is a RAMS document?
- A combined risk assessment and method statement: the method statement sets out how a task will be carried out step by step, and the risk assessment identifies the hazards, who could be harmed, the control measures and the residual risk. Most principal contractors require one before a subcontractor starts work.
- Can I use this on a real site?
- It produces a properly structured draft, but it is a template, not professional advice. A competent person must review and adapt it to the actual task, site and conditions, approve it, and brief everyone doing the work. That requirement is printed on the document itself.
- Where is my data stored?
- Only in your own browser's local storage, so you can close the tab and come back to it. Nothing is transmitted to this site or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data or using the Start again button removes it.
